Got some good ol’ UK hardcore for you now!
I was going to see them live, but unfortunately the mini festival that I was going to was canceled.
Their breakdowns are so earth shatteringly awesome it’s unreal!

I can’t get enough of this song and this band at the moment!
This is the song that was used on the Metal Blade Records summer sampler 2012, it’s a fantastic song!
Their new album kicks the shit out of the last album (which was pretty bad apart from a couple of songs)
Enjoy!

Hardcore punk is rather awesome, I’ve gotta say!
Especially when it’s performed by The Ghost Of A Thousand, a 5 piece hardcore punk band that where from my hometown! Who unfortunately broke up last year..
Everything seemed to be going very well for them, they where doing a lot of big shows, including headlining festivals around the UK, and then hey presto, they split.
Fans of bands like Cancer Bats, this is for you!

I saw Cancer Bats supporting a band who’s name escapes me, a few years ago, and they stole the show!
The pit really opened up when they started playing this!
If you ever get the chance to go see them, then don’t hesitate to buy a ticket, just fucking do it!

If you haven’t heard of Axewound yet, then in a nutshell, they are a super group, featuring Matt Tuck on guitar and backing vocals, Liam Cormier of Cancer Bats on lead vocals, Mike Kingswood of Glamour of the Kill on guitar, Joe Copcutt formerly of Rise to Remain playing bass and Jason Bowld of Pitchshifter on drums!
This is fucking brilliant! Seriously!
Their genre is an amazing mix of metalcore, hardcore punk and groove metal!

Ohhhh Converge, you awesome beasts! Come back to Brighton!
Skip to around 2:38 for the best bit!

So I’ve got some amazing punk metal (with large portions of mathcore) for you guys today.
I saw Converge a few years ago and they are one of the most energetic bands I’ve ever seen!
I have an awesome picture somewhere on my phone with me and a very tired, sweaty Jacob Bannon.

Just got back from FTR, and ohhhhh boy are my ears ringing!
But It was so worth it.
They started off with support from Golden Tanks and Breaking The Day, who where both extremely brilliant! (purchased a Breaking The Day album) :)
When FTR came on I suddenly realized that their vocalist (Lee Tobin) looks insanely like Zach Galifianakis (except Lee is much slimmer, and more awesome)
They had a pretty good pit going on, with a couple of guys doing some pretty weak hardcore dancing (I think they where drunk). Although they did get a very good circle pit going at one point and ended on an also very good wall of death.
I’m quite sure they played most of their album entitled ‘Mr Red Eye’ (which I also purchased from their merch table tonight, Lee was very appreciative of that)
Ending on the wall of death that I mentioned, Lee and their guitarist lept into the crowd and split them in half. Lee jumped onto the bar! While the guitarist hung around in the centre of the crowd, smacking into the moshers (and also stepping on a woman’s bag, which was pretty funny) and then jumped back on stage.
Lee then got back on stage, grabbed a cymbal and stick from the drummer, and started smashing away.
Overall a fantastic evening of great live music, and at only £6 for a ticket, what could go wrong?!
10/10

Seeing these guys at The Haunt in Brighton today, really stoked! Gonna be an awesome evening :D I’ll hopefully review it later, tempted to take my camera as well..
